12th class passed or its equivalent qualification with less than 45% marks from a recognized board/ institution and possess Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education Programme not less than 1 year or any other equivalent course. Also, they Should have passed Matriculation in Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subject.

Experienced teachers or volunteers or Sikhiya or Providers / Education Providers / Education Volunteers or EGS Volunteers or AIE Volunteers and Special Training Resource (STR) Volunteers, working in the Education Department, will be given age relaxation and special credit at the time of recruitment of the pre-primary teachers.

  • 840 for Scheduled Castes (M&B),
  • 839 for Scheduled Castes (R&O),
  • 168 each for Scheduled Castes (Ex-Servicemen-M&B), Scheduled Castes (Ex-Servicemen-R&O) and Backward Classes (Ex-Servicemen).
  • 42 each for Scheduled Castes (Sports-M&B) and Scheduled Castes (Sports-R&O),
