Parliament of India Translator Recruitment – 2020 | Selection Process

Preliminary & Main Examination
Preliminary Examination:-
The examination will consists of three subjects having 50 marks each. The duration of this exam will be 75 minutes.
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs
  • General English
  • General Hindi
Main Examination:-
The examination will consists of Two Parts having 150 and 100 marks each. The combined duration of both the parts
will be 5 Hours.
Part 1: Translation from English to Hindi and vice versa
Part 2: English Essay, Precis and Grammar & Hindi Essay, Precis and Grammar

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should hold a Master’s Degree and Diploma in any one of the following as mentioned below.

Master’s Degree in Hindi from a recognized University with English as a subject at the Degree Level.
OR
Master’s Degree in English from a recognized University with Hindi as a subject at the Degree Level.
OR
Master’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University with Hindi and English as a subject at the Degree Level.
OR
Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi medium* from a recognized University and English as a subject at the Degree Level.
OR
Master’s Degree in any subject with English medium from a recognized University and Hindi as a subject at the Degree Level.
AND
Diploma/Certificate course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa from a University or Institute recognized by the Govt.
OR
02 years experience of Translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central/State Government offices or State Legislature Secretariats or Central/State Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies/Supreme Court of India/High Court
